Higgsfield Adds FLUX 3 Video Upscaler, Bringing Black Forest Labs' 4K Upscaling Into Its Own Interface

The underlying model is not a Higgsfield original. It traces back to Black Forest Labs’ own FLUX Upscale, which the Freiburg-based lab shipped as a standalone tool and API endpoint, with OpenRouter’s model page dating the release to August 19, 2026, and Black Forest Labs’ own blog dating it to August 20, 2026. According to Black Forest Labs, the tool regenerates any video at a higher resolution up to native 4K, and understands FLUX 3 output natively, fixing artifacts a general-purpose upscaler can miss, such as smudged faces or gridded textures on water and grass.
